![]() ![]() The tool will not only reverse engineer the objects and the code itself. Each PowerBuilder library is represented as a Package, each object in. Reverse-engineering a PowerBuilder target. Reverse-engineering is the process of examining and recovering data or source code that is then used to build or update an OOM. You can reverse-engineer PowerBuilder objects to obtain a diagram of the class structure of those objects. Sorry, but that is the limit of what PowerDesigner can do. It really was never designed to be an 'application language transformation utility'. Realize that just being able to do what it can do is MUCH more than any other modeling tool can do. -- Mike Nicewarner [TeamSybase] mike@nospam!datamodel.org Sybase product enhancement requests: wrote in message news:[email protected]. > Hi, I am really interested about the reverse engineer from > PowerBuilder application, because I want to transform > PowerBuilder code into Java code. (if not all, more than I did). I am using PD 15 and xp. I was reverse engineering a database and stored procedures but PD froze. Now when I tried to reverse engineer it freezes right away at the same place (42%). The dialog windows appears right away. It is as if it remembered where it left off and displays the window and freezes. I can not reverse engineer the stored procedure. Is there a way I can clear the memory? Thank you Have you tried reverse engineering without selecting the stored procedures? If this is faster and completes, then what is probably happening is that PD is parsing the sp's sourc. Hi, I am having trouble reverse engineering an Oracle 7.3 db into Appmodeler 6.1. Most of the tables are RE'd with no columns. I've looked through infobase and can't find anything that is a solution. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks Ann [email protected] McArthur Family wrote in message. >Hi, >I am having trouble reverse engineering an Oracle 7.3 db into Appmodeler >6.1. HI, I want to know if exists any odbc that i can reverse engineering from Metadata SAS to powerdesigner version 12,5 or version 15??? Thanks, P Yes SAS have an ODBC driver - but you are going to faint when you hear the price - when we got ours it was the most expensive ODBC driver I had ever run across. We have reverse engineered tables in SAS and also built ETL scripts to extract SAS data and put it into our Data Warehouse. We got our ODBC driver direct from SAS.
